Geoff's first introduction into the wonderful world of Music came in the 4th
grade when he started playing the violin in upstate New York. After getting his
bow stuck in the tuning screws during a solo section of his first concert, it
became clear that a move to percussion was the best for everyone involved. Some
28 years later, Geoff now provides the solid, in the pocket grooves that FIKUS
churns out at every show.
That same 28 years has been spent performing with a long list of New York and
Boston groups including Dr. Bombay, The Coins, The Al Cargill Quartet, Buddy No,
Curious George and the Commuters, Blind Venetian and Local Boston Russian
folk/rock sensation, Cheradevonia.
Geoff has studied with Schenectady Light Opera Company principal
percussionist Donald Bush and Ludwig Drum Company clinician, Thomas Brown.
Other performance credits include:
Schenectady Symphony
Jeff Tysik
Bobbie Vinton
Empire State Youth Orchestra
